| Bio: | I grew up in Oregon where I dropped out of high school at 16 to go to college and join the Army at 17. After a few years in the infantry, I switched over to Explosive Ordnance Disposal. I met my wife, ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) bevlovesbooks in EOD school. After I left the Army, I became a cop in Georgia. I've been a law enforcement officer for ten years in a variety of assignments including patrol officer, detective, police sergeant, jailer, civil deputy, school reource officer, and now I'm a departmental training officer.
I feel a little out of place in Georgia. While I am extremely conservative, I'm also an atheist, and the pervasiveness of churches in the South gets to me. I also get a little tired of how backwards things are down here. I want to move back to Oregon.
Bev and I love to travel. We go on day trips all over Georgia. We like to see historic sites, beaches, and walk through the woods.
I'm a big fan of Dungeons and Dragons and science fiction. Bev and I go to DragonCon each year. She runs the Young Adult Literature track, and the Live Journal for that brought me here. |
